We acquired an underperforming portfolio of assets from a German financial institution in an off market transaction. All of the assets are located within Düsseldorf’s central business district, and are mainly office buildings, with a small element of retail. The strategy seeks to unlock upside by pursuing a more aggressive and intensive asset management program across the assets, specifically the vacant space. This portfolio has outperformed the market, even during the crisis, and we have added significantly to the rent roll by securing new tenants and undertaking a rolling refurbishment program.
